We move our truly pastured, soy-free chickens twice a day to fresh grass on our own certified organic pastures! Daily moving is extremely important. It allows our birds to forage a diet of bugs, grubs, flies and a complete salad bar of plants and grasses.
This high foraging content of their diet makes their meat extra high in CLA and Omega-3. You may even notice the difference in the more yellow look of the fat and skin.
Fun Fact: Chicken Thighs have 3-4 times as much Omega-3s per serving as the chicken breast meat.
One 4 oz. serving of truly pastured Chicken Thigh meat supplies you with at least 400mg of Omega-3s – 25% of your daily recommended intake. That is a lot of Omega-3s!
We carefully raise these chickens on our own Family Cow farm.
They are GMO-Free, Soy-Free, Chemical-Free and Truly Pastured with daily moves to fresh organic grass, clover and bugs.
Our family and team then hand-butchers these birds on our farm in our zero-waste, mobile butchering wagon. Even the feathers are composted and the nutrients returned to the farm soil.
Also worthy of note: we never allow Clorox or any other chemicals anywhere near your chickens! Nothing but a little organic apple cider vinegar, Celtic Sea Salt and ice are used in the chill water.
