Directions

Our family was never really big on ham until we experienced the Hickory Smoked Woodland-raised Ham. Now it brings raves the whole way around the table!

Here's my favorite way to prepare our fully cooked Hickory Smoked Ham Roasts:

  • Put a thawed 3 – 4 pound ham in your crockpot. (You can also use ham hocks and ham chunks for this.)
  • Add 2 cups of water.
  • Turn on Low and warm for several hours until hot in the center. The meat from our Family Cow pastured hams is already fully cooked but if you are using a ham from another farm that's not already cooked you'll need to keep it in the crockpot for 12-16 hours. When finished the ham meat should be very tender and easily come apart.

At this point you can serve the ham as-is or continue on for the most amazing ham stew ever.
