Yay! We've got some super exciting news!
Pastured Bone Broth is finally here! :)
I know. It's been a long time in coming. It was almost a whole year ago we sent an email with the subject line of "Family Cow Bone Broth, anyone?"
And boy, did we ever get a flood of overwhelming feedback. I mean, we already knew bone broth is super amazing stuff (and we've been making it for generations) but we didn't know the demand would be that strong. Especially since we do sell an array of bone broth / soup stock items along with recipes on how to make it.
The overwhelming feedback was that yes, you could make it yourself, but it's so much work, you'd be happy if we did that work for you. :)
So why didn't we start right away?
Great question. Poor answer: We've been extremely busy.
So anyway, that's why we're so excited to finally announce that we've started making bone broth... just in time for the winter flu season.
For now, all we have is a trial batch of chicken bone broth made by us with our own soy-free, truly pastured chicken. Next will come other types of bone broth like beef and pork, and maybe a few creative blends.
One thing for sure, this broth does take a lot of work to make, but it sure is worth it! I keep remarking that "this stuff tastes heavenly!" :)
Note: I do recommend adding some salt. At least that's what my taste prefers. We did add a small amount of salt for this trial, but we absolutely did not want to over-salt it. So we erred on the side of not enough.
After all, it's easier to add salt than remove it. :)
So to be clear, the only thing you need to do to enjoy this amazing super-drink is to heat it up and add some salt (in my opinion). Let me know your thoughts about the salt.
