Prepare Your Freezer Space

Good Morning Tribe!

I have exciting news: On September the 12th we'll open our annual Pastured Chicken Savings Event!

So what's the point of a Chicken Savings Event?

It's simple... food security and saving money all in one fell swoop. I somehow doubt if anyone will object to that combo! :)

Here's how the food security and saving works:

Our family offers you a steep discount to stock extra chicken in your freezer, we store all we can here in our farm freezers, and between the two of us your food supply is secured... and the discount price is locked in.

Why Chicken Savings in September?

Summer is the only time of year we can raise Truly Pastured Chickens out on lush grass each day. Because of this, we need to grow lots of extra birds each summer so you can still have pastured chicken even during the snowy winter months. :)

We pack our freezers full with chicken in August and September... Then comes October and it's time to harvest pastured Thanksgiving Turkeys.

We need your help with this. Our farm freezers are maxed out.

So... prepare your freezer space for massive savings on our Truly Pastured, Chemical-Free, GMO-Free, Soy-Free Chicken.

If you don't have a chest freezer, buy one.

There are 5 cubic foot freezers here for under $175... You will be able to pay that investment off with the savings from one large bundle during this chicken event.

Seriously. A chest freezer is a totally astounding return on investment!

I can't promise this big of savings on our chicken every year, but here is what I can promise.

We will always give volume savings bundles at specific times of the year to help balance the seasonal nature of real farm life.

If you buy a chest freezer now, you will have space for:

  • September Chicken Savings: coming soon
  • January Pork Savings: after our late fall harvest
  • May Beef Savings: just in time for the griller season
  • July Seafood Savings: during the sockeye salmon run

And aside from all these special savings events, we still offer 5-pack or 10-pack savings whenever possible throughout the year.

It's a no brainer, really. A chest freezer can help you save more on every order.

If you have one already, be sure to prepare space for this upcoming Pastured Chicken Savings Event to secure your food supply and secure your savings.

If you're even somewhat interested in these savings, be sure to let us know by Joining the Chicken Savings Event.

We encourage you to sign up so we know who is interested in more event details and full access on the 12th. Signing up to be kept informed does not obligate you to buy.

All the best,

Wesley

Ground Breaking News at Family Cow farm!

After 3 long years of planning, today we literally have ground breaking news to share with you all! :) The temporary 'reefer trailers' we've been using as our Family Cow facilities since 2008 will finally be replaced by an actual building! We are thankful for how well our 'reefers' served us for the last 17 years, but it's past time for this improvement!

Behind the Scenes Video of Order Packing

Good morning friends, Today I have a quick video to show you Behind the Scenes Order Packing at The Family Cow farm! The morning work starts at 5:00 so it's often still dark this time of year... but that doesn't keep everyone from arriving promptly to get your food on the way. Watch now to see how we prepare food each week to go from our family farm to the 54 Pickup Locations across PA so you can get real, clean foods delivered to your community. It's our pleasure to do it for you! :) This footage was shot earlier this year, but I thought now would be a good time to show you what a busy packing morning looks like during the holiday season! We've been scrambling (literally) to get all the orders out the door some mornings... Hopefully before long we can do an expansion project and give us more workspace here at the farm so the packing area isn't so crowded! :) All the best of food and blessings. Your farmer, Wesley

Family Picture Night 2024

It's been two years since our last pasture picture, as our family calls them. Since then, our family has grown by five, so I believe it's high time! But first, just a little nostalgia...
