Note: a small amount goes a long way and provides hydration for the entire day. If the tallow balm doesn't absorb quickly into your skin you are probably using too much. :)
Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. This tallow balm does not need to be refrigerated or frozen unless you buy a large quantity and plan to store it 6-12 months before using.
"My hands are so dry and cracked because of the winter air and the tallow has done wonders on them! Will definitely order again!" ~ Nicole O.
"I tried your beef tallow and use it as a diaper balm and body lotion for my newborn baby. It works really well on diaper rash!" ~ Sunnie F.
"I love the Tallow Balm... It has a delightful, delicate smell. It is subtle and not at all predominant. The thing I notice the most when I use the balm, is the whipped texture. What a lovely skin feel it has. It is not inexpensive, but a little bit goes a long way, especially since I always apply it to wet skin." ~ Susan K.
"I really am enjoying the tallow balm. I am using it everyday on my face and my feet. My skin feels wonderful!" ~ Deborah G.
"We LOVE the tallow and found it's the most clean, hydrating, pure smelling of it's kind. We've tried a few for our little one when he gets dry, eczema like skin. We would love to purchase an unscented one for him to be extra sensitive to his skin." ~ Tiffany D.
"I live in the mountain desert of Salt Lake City Utah where it is exceedingly dry. I am 73 years old with painfully dry skin. The tallow balm has transformed my hands, nails and cuticles to actually look healthy. I have tried many other hand cremes and nothing comes close to your tallow balm. Sometimes I think it would be nice to have a tub size to use for the whole body." ~ Christine P.
"I like the consistency and smoothness. This is not a "heavy" balm, and that's a good thing. It seems to absorb best right after washing and drying my hands." ~ Georgine B.
"I get very dry and cracked skin on my hands during the cold weather here in Ohio. I tried many different brands so was excited to see your Whipped Tallow Balm. I bought some and am very pleased with it. I only need to use a small amount to smooth my chapped and cracked skin a few times a day. I like the essential oils in it too. Thank you for this product." ~ Sue R.
"I really like the balm, a lot. It soaks into my skin and I enjoy the smell." ~ Jodi S.
"I love your tallow balm! I have purchased two jars. I have always gotten extremely dry skin on my hands every winter, and so does my 6 year old son. This is the only thing he will willingly put on his hands (every other cream I have tried he said stings), and it is keeping his eczema under control. I have tried tallow balm in the past, but it was thick and hard to apply, so I really appreciate that yours is whipped. I also love the scent. It is light and not overpowering." ~ Ashley M.
Why does Beef Tallow work so well as a healing moisturizer for my skin? The short answer is that tallow has a similar structure to our own skin. This allows it to soften, moisturize and regenerate skin health without clogging pores or triggering reactions. God Designed it... We Respect it... That Explains it!
Now for the longer answer: Tallow from 100% Grass-fed & Grass-finished Beef is rich in fat-soluble vitamins A, D, K, E, & B12. It's also has plenty of Omega-3, CLA, Oleic, Stearic, and Palmitic fatty acids.
All these nutrients are available for your skin to easily absorb since tallow very closely resembles our own sebum, the oil naturally produced by our skin. In fact, "sebum" literally translates to "tallow" in Latin. This similarity allows tallow to absorb deep beyond the skin's lipid barrier and carry rejuvenating moisture and nutrients to your cells. Most moisturizers based on water and plant products are stopped on the skin's surface... Not tallow!
Because of how deeply it absorbs, top quality tallow is critical. Any time you recommend tallow balm to friends or family, be sure they know to source it from a farm that is always chemical-free, GMO-free and antibiotic-free. The same need for high quality standards applies to the essential oils used as well... that's why we chose doTERRA.
Why did we choose doTERRA® Essential Oils?
DoTERRA oils are truly pure & unadulterated... and they do LOTS of testing to prove it. Each batch undergoes over 60 tests to verify purity before it is ready for market. All this testing is especially important when you realize up to 80% of essential oils on the market today are adulterated in some way. DoTERRA tests at many different steps between the living plant and final bottle to ensure no chemicals or other pollutants sneak in. Then to top it all off, these test results are made available to their customers.
I believe this extensive testing process is probably the biggest reason our family chooses doTERRA. It feels like a kinship with our own Raw Milk safety standards of Every Batch Lab Tested... right down to the part about publishing the results for everyone to see! :)
Aside from the many lab test, doTERRA also uses co-sourcing to ensure the oils come from plants grown in a natural environment with sustainable methods. Each person involved from planting the seed to filling the bottle gets fair treatment and payment for their work.
Those are just a few of the top reasons our family has chosen to use doTERRA Essential Oils... see this doTERRA page for more in-depth reading.
